Aura, an upscale restaurant and bar, has been in the works for some time.
The restaurant is a years-long “culmination” of “planning” and “meticulous attention” to details. Ownership has been in the restaurant business for over fifteen years — they gauged the changing demographics of Hackensack and decided to offer it something to match it — an “elegant yet easy-going” bar and restaurant that “offers something awesome for everyone”. This includes a renovation that has nearly been completed.
Being an upscale restaurant and bar, they’ll be serving seasonal modern American and European fare with crafted cocktails, choice wines and spirits.
Their Chef de Cuisine is “highly accomplished” and “well travelled” with formal education in classic French cuisine and over 30 years of experience as Executive Chef in catering, private clubs and NYC restaurants.
The criteria for selecting what’s on the menu (View Menu) was shared as “extremely simple”. If the was unable to stand on its own or complete with other dishes on the menu, it did not not find a home — they plan to tune the menu seasonally.
Expect dinner lunch and brunch in the ninety seat dining room, with service planned for seven days a week.
A soft launch for this Hackensack business is being planned for sometime in mid-September.
